The vintage arcade

For the holidays Chris and I were up in Sonoma (i.e. wine country), but we did take a day trip to good ole San Francisco!

Our favorite place was definitely the vintage arcade, Musée Mécanique, which contains old-time slots, fortune tellers, player pianos, peep shows, photobooths, dioramas and more, dating back to the 1800s.  There are familiar classics (mole-bashing, for example) and some that are just plain unusual.  The best part is, they’re all 25-50 cents, so a couple dollars can keep you entertained for a long time!

It’s located right next to the famous Boudin Bakery (where we ate delicious sourdough bread bowls afterwards), and is definitely worth a visit next time you are in SF.  Here are some of our favorite shots.

Have you visited this arcade?  What was your favorite game?
